Rebel Wilson is an Australian comedic actress born on March 2, 1980, in Sydney, Australia. She gained recognition for her role as Kristen Wiig‘s roommate in Bridesmaids and for her portrayal of Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect, which earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Wilson also reprised her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect 2.
Prior to her acting career, Wilson attended the University of New South Wales where she studied law and art. In addition to her film work, she has appeared in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and provided her voice for Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Rebel has a close-knit family including siblings who have appeared on The Amazing Race Australia.
