About Ray C
Ray C. (born May 15, 1982) is a Tanzanian pop singer known for her contributions to the afro pop and bongo flava subgenres. In 2007, she received her second Tanzania Music Award for Best Female Artist and has released four albums throughout her career.
Prior to her music career, Ray C. worked as a radio DJ before releasing her debut album Mapenzi Yangu in 2003. She also won the 2004 Kisima Music Award for Best Female Artist in both Uganda and Tanzania.
Besides music, she has continued promoting herself by releasing the album Touch Me in 2008. Ray C.’s mother’s name is Margareth.
