About Raquel del Rosario
Raquel del Rosario, born on November 3, 1982, in Gran Canaria, Spain, is a pop singer and the lead vocalist of the group El Sueno de Morfeo (Morpheus’ Dream). The band represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with the song “Contigo hasta el final” (With You Until The End), finishing in 25th place.
Prior to her fame, Raquel began writing songs at the age of 14 and is a self-taught musician. She was previously part of David Feito’s band Xema before teaming up with Juan Luis Suarez to create El Sueno de Morfeo.
She is the second of six children and has been married twice: first to Fernando Alonso from 2006 to 2011, then to Galician photographer and filmmaker Pedro Castro. Together they have a son named Leo.
