Rahma Riad Ahmed, born on January 19, 1987 in Basra, Iraq, is a prominent World Music Singer. She gained recognition with the release of “Bosa” and followed it up with the single “Anoudi.” Rahma eventually signed with the management company Music Is My Life and was honored as Best Arab Rising Star at the Murex d’Or ceremony in 2014.
Before her rise to fame, Rahma’s father encouraged her to pursue singing from an early age. Due to the Iraqi war, she relocated to Oman. Despite being a finalist in the Star Academy competition, she narrowly missed out on claiming victory. Additionally, she also received private violin lessons.
Rahma comes from a musical background; her father is the renowned singer Riadh Ahmed.
