About Ragaa Al Geddawy
Ragaa Al Geddawy was a prominent Egyptian actress and model, best known for her work in film and television. She was born on September 6, 1934, in Ismailia, Egypt. Throughout her career spanning six decades, she appeared in numerous films including A Dinner Date (1981), Fi alhayat hob akhar (1997), Enta omry (2004), The Player (2012), and Hamlat Feraizar (2016). Notably, she had a prominent role as Enayat Hanit on the show Grand Hotel in 2016.
Al Geddawy’s acting debut came in 1959 with a role in the film Doa al karawan. Her career flourished from there, amassing over 90 film credits to her name. Prior to acting, she also enjoyed success as a model; winning the Miss Egypt title in 1958 marked the beginning of her modeling career.
She was married to Hassan Mokhtar and they had one child. Additionally, Al Geddawy came from an artistic family – her aunt Taheyya Kariokka was renowned as both a belly dancer and actress.
