Rachel Skarsten is a Canadian television actress, born on April 23, 1985 in Toronto, Canada. She has gained recognition for her portrayal of Dinah Lance in the television series Birds of Prey and as Elizabeth I of England in the series Reign.
Prior to her acting career, Skarsten studied dance for 12 years at the Royal Academy of Dance in Toronto and also pursued visual arts and cello at the Claude Watson School for the Arts. She later earned a double degree in English Literature and Classical Studies from Queens University in Ontario.
Skarsten was born to a Canadian mother and Norwegian father, with whom she shares her younger brother Jonathan. In 2020, she married Alexandre Robicquet.
