Rachel Melvin is a soap opera actress born on February 9, 1985, in Elmhurst, Illinois. She is best known for her role as Chelsea Brady on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. Melvin has also made guest appearances on popular shows like Heroes and House M.D., and played Penny Pinchelow in the 2014 film Dumb and Dumber To.
Her cinematic debut was in the 2005 independent movie Boo, and she appeared alongside Dreama Walker in the 2010 Lifetime movie seven Deadly Sins.
Melvin spent her early years in Illinois with her sister Jessica before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. Despite turning down a full college scholarship, she pursued an acting career which led to her relocation to Los Angeles, California.
