Rachel Bay Jones (born November 8, 1969) is a Tony Award-winning stage actress known for her role as Heidi in Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen. She was born in New York City and began pursuing acting at a young age, later dropping out of high school to perform in a local play. At the age of 19, she moved back to New York City to further her acting career.
In addition to her acclaimed performance in Dear Evan Hansen, Jones has also appeared on Broadway as Catherine in the 2013 revival of Pippin. Her television credits include roles in ABC’s The Family and FX’s Louie.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Jones hails from a family with strong ties to the performing arts; both of her parents were Shakespearean actors. She currently resides in New York City with her partner, fellow actor Benim Foster, and has a daughter named Miranda from a previous relationship.
