Pratibha Patil Feet

Pratibha Patil, born on December 19, 1934 in India, is a prominent Indian politician. She served as the Governor of Rajasthan from 2004 to 2007 and subsequently became the 12th president of India, a position she held from 2007 to 2012. Notably, she was the first woman to hold both of these high-ranking offices.

Prior to her illustrious career in politics, Patil was an active member of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra and also served in the Parliament from 1985 to 1990. During her presidency, she made headlines by commuting the sentences of 35 prisoners from death penalty to life imprisonment – a decision that sparked widespread public scrutiny.

In her personal life, Patil married Devisingh Ransingh Shekhawat in 1965 and together they had two children.
