Polina Gagarina, born on March 27, 1987 in Moscow, Russia, is a renowned pop singer known for her second place finish at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Gagarina gained further recognition through her chart-topping singles in Russia including “The Play is Over” (2012), “No” (2012), “A Million Voices” (2015), and “Cuckoo” (2015).
Prior to fame, she won the 2003 edition of the Russian reality talent competition Star Factory and later joined the pop group called Playgirls.
Gagarina also voiced the character of Dorothy in the Russian dubbed version of Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return. Born into a family with a ballet dancer mother and raised in Greece, she was previously married to Russian entertainer Pyotr Kislov from 2007-2010 with whom she shares a son named Andrey. In 2014, she married photographer Dmitry Iskhakov and had a daughter together in 2017.
