About Poh Ling Yeow
Poh Ling Yeow (born December 17, 1973) is a Malaysian-born chef, artist, and actress. She gained recognition as the runner-up on season one of MasterChef Australia and went on to host her own cooking series on ABC titled Poh’s Kitchen.
Yeow first rose to fame when she appeared on the ABC television program Beat the Chef in 2005 before competing in MasterChef Australia in 2009. In subsequent years, she acted in both film and television productions such as It’s a Date (2013) and wrote multiple books.
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Yeow relocated to Australia with her parents and brother when she was 9 years old.
