About Petra Nemcova
Petra Nemcova is a Czech model, host, and philanthropist. She gained fame by gracing the cover of the 2003 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Born on June 24, 1979, in Karvina, Czech Republic, she was discovered on the streets of Prague before signing with NEXT Model Management. In 2005, Nemcova founded the Happy Hearts Fund and has since been its head.
Tragically, Petra’s life took a devastating turn when she survived serious injuries in Thailand during the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004; however her then-fiancé perished. Along with modeling and her philanthropic work, Nemcova also served as a judge for the 53rd annual Miss Universe pageant.
Nemcova continues to use her platform to make positive change while balancing her career as a model and host alongside her philanthropy work at Happy Hearts Fund. She has a sister named Olga.
