About Penny Wolin
Penny Wolin, born on June 5, 1953 in Wyoming, is an American portrait photographer and visual anthropologist renowned for her documentary and conceptual photographs. She pursued her studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and furthered her education at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Wolin received two grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and one grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to support her artistic endeavors. She hails from a Conservadox Jewish family as the youngest of five siblings.
