About Penny Jordan
Penny Jordan was a British novelist known for her prolific work in the romance genre. She was born on November 24, 1946, in England and wrote under several pseudonyms including Penny Jordan, Annie Groves, and Melinda Wright.
Jordan gained recognition for her contemporary and historical romance novels before becoming an author. Prior to pursuing writing full-time, she worked as a typist for over a decade. In 1979, she published her first novel titled “Duchess in Disguise.”
During her childhood, Jordan began crafting stories at the age of eight to entertain herself and her younger siblings. She later married Steve Halsall, an accountant. They did not have any children but had many nieces and nephews.
