About Pelageya Sergeyevna Telegina
Pelageya Sergeyevna Telegina, born on July 14, 1986, is a Russian folk singer known for her appearances as a coach on the reality talent show The Voice. She gained international recognition after performing the Russian folk song “Oy, to ne vecher” during the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Before rising to fame, Pelageya won acclaim at a young age when she was awarded the title of Best Folk Singer of Russia in 1996 at just nine years old. Her talent led her to perform at prominent events such as Moscow’s 850th Anniversary Pageant concert and the Heads of Government of Three States Summit in 1997.
In her personal life, Pelageya was married to director Dmitry Efimovich from 2010 until their divorce two years later. In 2016, she married Russian hockey player Ivan Telegin with whom she has a daughter named Taisiya.
