About Peggy Lipton
Peggy Lipton was born on August 30, 1946 in New York City, New York. She is best known for her work as a television actress, portraying characters such as undercover cop and flower child Julie Barnes on The Mod Squad and Norma Jennings on Twin Peaks. In 1970, she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama for her role in The Mod Squad.
Before gaining fame as an actress, Lipton moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and signed a contract with Universal Pictures. Additionally, she modeled with the Ford Modeling Agency and made a guest appearance on Angie Tribeca in 2017 playing a mother.
Lipton married Quincy Jones in 1974 and they had two daughters before separating in 1990.
