About Peace Hyde
Peace Hyde is a British-Ghanaian television producer, host, creator, journalist, and education activist. She was born on August 9, 1985 in London, England. A graduate of Middlesex University with a degree in psychology, she initially practiced as a child psychologist before transitioning to a career as a science teacher specializing in physics, chemistry, and biology.
Hyde is best known as the creator and executive producer of Netflix’s first African reality TV series titled “Young, Famous & African.” In recognition of her work, she received the Social Impact Africa Award at the House of Parliament in the UK in 2019.
Early Life and Career
Prior to her move to Ghana in 2012, Hyde co-founded Aim Higher Africa – a non-profit organization focused on enhancing educational standards within impoverished African communities. Her efforts were further acknowledged when she was among the few selected from over 200 leaders to participate in the Obama Foundation’s Leaders Program for Africa.
Personal Life
After living most of her life in London until 2015 where she also worked briefly as a child psychologist and later educator; Hyde decided to relocate after burying her father there which influenced her decision to remain permanently.
