About Payal Khandwala
Payal Khandwala is an award-winning artist and fashion designer from Mumbai, India. She was born on May 23, 1974, and gained recognition for her work as an illustrator.
In 2007, she received the Society Magazine’s Young Achievers Award in the Fine Arts category. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally.
Prior to her fame, Khandwala received an Art Scholarship at the National Board Level in 1990. She also garnered numerous awards in illustration, design and construction. She won “designer of the year” in a nationwide competition held by ShoppersStop in 1994.
Khandwala moved to New York in 1995 to attend the Parsons School of Design where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration.
Khandwala was born into a family based in Mumbai, India.
