Patricia Manterola, born on April 23, 1972 in Mexico, is a well-known pop singer, actress and TV host. She gained prominence as a member of the popular Mexican group Garibaldi before launching a successful solo career. Some of her hits as a solo artist include “Que el Ritmo no Pare” and “Ojos Negros.” In addition to her music career, she has also appeared in telenovelas such as Destilando Amor and Apuesta por un Amor. More recently, she has been featured on the series Renta Congelada.
Prior to her entertainment career, Manterola studied English at UCLA and was discovered by producer Luis de Llano who invited her to join Garibaldi. Her versatile talents have also led her to host the TV singing competition La Voz Kids in 2016 and appear on shows like La Fea Mas Bella and its American adaptation Ugly Betty, where she played a role in 2006. Additionally, she received acclaim for her performance in the 2009 film The Perfect Game which earned her a TVyNovelas award for Best Lead Actress.
