About Patience Griffin
Patience Griffin (born January 14, 1962) is an American novelist best known for her A Kilts and Quilts book series. Some of the popular novels in the series include “To Scotland with Love,” “Meet Me In Scotland,” and “The Accidental Scot.”
Before starting her career as a novelist, Griffin earned a master’s degree in nuclear engineering. She was inspired to begin writing stories during her commute to her engineering job while listening to audiobooks.
In addition to being a talented writer, Griffin is also an accomplished quilter. She gained recognition for creating the September 11th Story Quilt which has toured the nation as part of the Pentagon’s collection.
Born in a small town on the Mississippi River, Griffin later lived in Texas.
