About Pat Cleveland
Pat Cleveland is an American fashion model who achieved great success in the 1970s, becoming one of the first African-Americans to reach stardom in print and fashion modeling. She collaborated with renowned figures in the industry such as Diana Vreeland, Yves Saint Laurent, and Oscar de la Renta.
Prior to her career, Cleveland graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and pursued design at New York’s High School of Art and Design. Notably, she became the first African-American model to grace the cover of Vogue magazine in 1974.
Cleveland is married to model and photographer Paul van Ravenstein with whom she has children named Noel van Ravenstein and Anna Cleveland.
