About Park Gyu-ri
Park Gyu-ri, born on May 21, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, is a well-known pop singer and actress. She gained fame as the lead vocalist of the all-female K-pop group Kara and had a successful acting career, appearing in productions such as the musical “200 Pounds Beauty” and the South Korean TV series “Nail Shop Paris.”
Before her music career took off, Park appeared in childhood roles in television shows and films like “Today is a Nice Day” and “Ladies of the Palace.” In 2012 she underwent surgery to remove vocal nodes.
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea to mother Park Sohyun – herself a voice actress who came up with the band name Kara – Park Gyu-ri has made significant contributions to both music and acting within K-pop culture.
