About Paola Mendoza
Paola Mendoza (born December 17, 1981) is a Colombian director and actress known for her contributions to the Colombian film industry. She gained attention for her role as Mariana in the 2009 film Entre Nos, which she also directed, as well as for her portrayal of Andrea Gaviria in the 2016 film El Empantanado: The Muddy.
Mendoza’s career began as an actress in 2003 when she starred in the short film Gabriel y Gato and later gained recognition for her performance as Marisol Pagan in the 2004 film On the Outs. In 2006, she transitioned into directing with the documentary Autumn’s Eyes.
In addition to acting and directing, Mendoza is a writer who has penned several short films including Half of Her (2012), Alma & Alex (2014), and Broken Tail Light (2014). Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, she occasionally shares photos with her daughter on Instagram.
