Ong Seong-wu, born on August 25, 1995 in Incheon, South Korea, is a pop singer-songwriter known for his rise to fame after participating in the second season of Mnet’s talent show program Produce 101. He gained further recognition as a full-time member of the boy band Wanna One and has also ventured into acting with roles in films such as Starlight Is Falling, Seoul Vibe, and Life is Beautiful.
Prior to his career in entertainment, Ong attended Hanlim Multi Art School and worked as a wedding model. During his time on Produce 101 season 2, he was affectionately known by the nickname “Moodmaker.” He also appeared in the TV series ‘Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?’
Originally from Guwol-dong, Incheon, South Korea,Ong has an older sister and was encouraged by his mother to play musical instruments as a child.
