About Ocean Ramsey
Ocean Ramsey (born September 1, 1987) is an American marine biologist, conservationist, freediver, and model. She has gained a significant following on social media platforms with over 40,000 followers on Facebook, 20,000 on Twitter, 260,000 on TikTok and 1.8 million on Instagram.
Prior to her fame, she earned an associate’s degree in behavioral sciences and psychology and pursued studies in biology at the University of Hawaii before completing a bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. Additionally, she obtained a master’s degree in ethology.
Ramsey is known for being a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer as well as a United States Coast Guard certified captain. Notably when diving among sharks she uses a signature biomimicry wetsuit that imitates the tiger shark’s natural camouflage. In addition to her work in marine biology and conservation efforts , she has made appearances as Lily O’Neill in an episode of Hawaii Five-0 (2017). Moreover,she is also recognized as the author of “What You Should Know About Sharks”, published in 2019.
Family-wise,Ramsey was born in Oahu,Hawaii .She co-owns One Ocean Diving,a dive charter company based out of Hawaii alongside husband Juan Oliphant.
