About Nyla Thorbourne
Nyla Thorbourne, born on November 27, 1983 in Kingston, Jamaica is a renowned world music singer. She gained fame as part of the duo Brick & Lace alongside her sister Nyanda. The pair released their debut album Love Is Wicked in 2007.
Prior to her success with Brick & Lace, Nyla attended Miami Dade College and later the University of Miami. In 2013, she ventured into a solo career and released her first single “Stand Up,” followed by “Body Calling” in the subsequent year.
Aside from Nyanda, Nyla has two other sisters – Candace and Tasha. Tasha was also initially part of Brick & Lace and continued to collaborate with her sisters even after her departure from the group.
