About Noor Tagouri
Noor Tagouri, born on November 27th, 1993 in West Virginia, is a journalist. She graduated from one of the top journalism schools at the age of 20 and has worked as an associate journalist for CBS Radio and a local news reporter for CTV News in DC. In addition to her journalism work, she has also traveled as a motivational speaker.
In 2012, Tagouri launched the viral #letnoorshine campaign. Before pursuing her career in journalism, she studied broadcast journalism and international development conflict management.
Tagouri is known for using various platforms like YouTube videos and social media projects to break normative stereotypes and encourage others to reach their potential. As a first generation Libyan-American who grew up in Southern Maryland before moving just outside of DC, she uses her personal experiences to connect with others.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Tagouri has employed initiatives such as the #journeywithnoor bracelet campaign that promotes goal-setting and creating pen pals. Furthermore,she engages in social media discussions and provides one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
