About Nieves Alvarez
Nieves Álvarez is a Spanish fashion model and television personality, born on March 30, 1974 in Madrid. She rose to prominence in the early 90s as a finalist in the Elite Look of the Year contest. Throughout her career, she modeled for renowned fashion labels such as Armani, Hermes and Yves Saint Laurent.
After her successful modeling career, Nieves transitioned to television work and began hosting the fashion show Flash Moda in 2012.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nieves Alvarez has been open about her personal struggles with anorexia and its prevalence within the modeling industry. She chronicled her experiences in her book “I Overcame Anorexia” which was published in 2001.
At one point married to Italian photographer Marco Severini until their separation in 2015, they have three children together: Adriano, Bianca and Brando.
