About Nevada Barr
Nevada Barr (born March 1, 1952) is an American mystery writer best known for her Anna Pigeon series, which is set in various United States national parks. In addition to the series, she has written numerous stand-alone novels including “13 1/2,” “Seeking Enlightenment,” and “Bittersweet.”
Before becoming a novelist, Barr earned a master’s degree in drama from the University of California, Irvine and pursued a career as a television, film, commercial, and theater actor for nearly twenty years.
Barr’s first novel, “Track of the Cat,” received both the Agatha Award and Anthony Award. In 2011, she was honored by the National Parks Conservation Association.
Born in Yerington, Nevada, Barr is married to Donald Paxton
