About Nanda Malini
Nanda Malini is a renowned Sri Lankan world music singer, born on August 23, 1943, in Aluthgama, Sri Lanka. She has been honored with eight Presidential Awards for Best Singer and is often compared to the popular singer Pandith Amaradewa.
Before gaining fame as a singer, she won a poetry contest during her youth and made her debut singing “Budu Sadu” on Radio Ceylon. Notably, Nanda Malini collaborated with Pandit W. D. Amaradewa for the Srawana Aradhana concert in 1971.
In her personal life, she married Suneth Gokula and has two children.
