Nafisa Joseph (March 28, 1978 – July 29, 2004) was an Indian model and MTV video jockey who gained recognition as the winner of Miss India Universe in 1997.
Joseph began her career in modeling at the age of 12 and achieved widespread fame as a host on the MTV Full House show for five years. She became known for her vibrant personality and confident demeanor.
In July 2004, tragedy struck when Joseph’s engagement to businessman Gautam Khanduja ended after she discovered that he was still married. Overwhelmed by this turn of events, she tragically took her own life by hanging herself.
Her untimely death sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and sparked conversations about mental health awareness among public figures.
