About Myrka Dellanos
Myrka Dellanos is an award-winning journalist and TV host best known for her work on the Univision news program Primer Impacto from 1992 to 2005. She was born in Pennsylvania on May 27, 1965, to a Cuban American family and later studied journalism at the University of Miami.
Besides her career in journalism, Dellanos is also recognized for her talents as a pianist and has written a self-help book titled Succeed and Be Happy: Things I Learned Thanks to God, My Mom, and Life.
Dellanos has been married multiple times – first to Dr. Alejandro Loynaz with whom she shares a daughter named Alexa. Following their divorce, she had brief marriages to David Matthews and Ulyses Daniel Alonso. Her relationship with Alonso ended due to his arrest on charges of domestic violence. Additionally, she was romantically involved with singer Luis Miguel from 2003 to 2005.
