About Mutya Buena
Mutya Buena was born on May 21, 1985, in England. She is a pop singer known for her time as a member of the hit English girl group Sugababes.
During her tenure with Sugababes, she contributed to the release of multi-platinum albums such as Angels with Dirty Faces and Taller in More Ways. After departing from the group, she recorded a solo album titled Real Girl before rejoining a relaunched version of Sugababes called MKS.
Buena and her Sugababes collaborators released their first album, One Touch, in late 2000. They achieved chart-topping success with singles like “Freak Like Me” and “Round Round.”
In addition to her musical career, Buena has faced personal challenges but continued to pursue her passion for music. Despite filing for bankruptcy in 2014, she remained dedicated to her craft and later released the track “Back In The Day” with MKS in 2015.
Born to an Irish mother and a Filipino father, Buena spent her formative years in London’s Kingsbury district within Brent Borough. In 2005, she welcomed her first child, daughter Tahlia.
