About Moxie Raia
Moxie Raia is a pop singer and songwriter born on May 12, 1990, in New Jersey. She gained recognition for her 2015 single “I Love It When You Cry,” which she co-wrote and performed with music producer Steve Aoki. Prior to this, she had released her solo single “Buffalo Bill” in 2014 under Capitol Records.
Before pursuing a career in music, Raia was studying jazz at Columbia University in New York. However, an opportunity arose when she was offered a spot in the music collective The Brain House in Los Angeles in 2012. Her cover of rapper Big Sean’s single “Beware” caught the attention of Capitol Records.
Raia has been involved extensively in competitive dancing since the age of six and has traveled internationally to participate in dance competitions. She considers her Brain House team as part of her extended family.Raised alongside her older sister, Raia moved to New York City at thirteen years old.
