Monique van de Ven (born July 28, 1952) is a Dutch actress known for her notable roles in acclaimed films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Olga Stapels in the Oscar-nominated film Turkish Delight, which propelled her to fame as a screen actress. Later on, she appeared in the Academy Award-winning film The Assault in two roles. Van de Ven also ventured into directing and helmed the 2008 movie Zomerhitte.
Van de Ven was raised in Zeeland, North Brabant, Netherlands. Her early acting credits include films such as Dakota and Katie Tippel. Additionally, she portrayed the title character in the 1979 movie A Woman Like Eve.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Van de Ven was married to director and cinematographer Jan de Bont before marrying writer and actor Edwin de Vries.
