Mirtha Legrand, born on February 23, 1927 in Argentina, is a TV actress known for her role as Sofia Ponte in the mini-series The Chairwoman (2012). She hosts the TV shows Almorzando con Mirtha and La Noche de Mirtha.
Legrand made her acting debut at age 13 in the 1940 film Hay que educar a Nini. She has also appeared in numerous other films such as The Doctress wants Tangos,El retrato,, and< I >Chaste Susan.
In addition to her successful career, Legrand is known for being married to Daniel Tinayre from 1946 to 1994. The couple had two children, Daniel and Marcela. Her granddaughter Juana Viale is also an actress.
Born Rosa Maria Juana Martinez Suarez, she has a twin sister named Silvia with whom she co-starred in several films.
