About Mirjana Puhar
Mirjana Puhar was a Yugoslavian-born model, best known for her appearance on Cycle 21 of America’s Next Top Model. Born on July 27, 1995, in Sremska Mitrovica, Yugoslavia (later Serbia), Puhar relocated to New York in the early 2000s as a political refugee fleeing turmoil and violence in her native country.
Before gaining recognition as a reality TV contestant, Puhar overcame adversity including dropping out of high school before later obtaining her GED. Tragically, she was murdered at the age of nineteen along with two others – one being her boyfriend – in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2015.
