Miranda July is a screenwriter, director, and actress born on February 15, 1974 in Barre, Vermont. She is known for her work on the films Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005) and The Future (2011).
Before her career in film, she briefly attended the University of California at Santa Cruz before dropping out to pursue performance art in Portland, Oregon.
In 2004, July was recognized as one of “25 New Faces of Indie Film” by Filmmaker Magazine. She married director Mike Mills and they have a son named Hopper who was born in 2012.
