About Mila Anufrieva
Mila Anufrieva is a Russian fashion designer and entrepreneur. She was born on June 12, 1965 in Saint Petersburg, Russia and has been living in Milan since 2007.
Anufrieva launched her brand Vanity in 1992, which became one of the first luxury retail chains in Russia. The brand was instrumental in introducing prestigious labels such as Christian Dior, Fendi, and Bottega Veneta to the country’s market. In 2012, she founded Mila Anufrieva Luxury Lifestyle Atelier which provides consulting services in the fashion and luxury sectors.
Prior to her career in fashion, Anufrieva attended the Pedagogical Institute while simultaneously teaching at a kindergarten.
In 2013, a documentary called “Signora Russa” was made by Russian director Nadezhda Gorkunova about Anufrieva’s life story.
Despite being born into poverty, Mila Anufrieva became the first Russian to build a fashion empire.
