Mikel Ruffinelli, born on January 31, 1973 in Santa Monica, California, is known for holding the world record for widest waist. Her waist was measured at 3 feet, 4 inches wide when she set the record with the World Record Academy in 2013.
Ruffinelli maintained a normal weight throughout her adolescence and into her twenties. However, after giving birth to four children, her waist began to significantly grow in circumference.
In addition to being a record holder, Ruffinelli has worked as a plus sized model and motivational speaker due to her personal struggles with weight. She has also performed with the Los Angeles young adult chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.
She was born and raised in Santa Monica, California.
