About Michelle Dockery
Michelle Dockery, born on December 15, 1981 in Romford, England, is a renowned TV actress best known for her role as Lady Mary Crawley on the hit series Downton Abbey and as Princess Myagkaya in the award-winning film Anna Karenina (2012).
Prior to her fame, Dockery studied at London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama and was honored with the school’s highest award. Upon gaining recognition for her work in Manhattan, she discovered the international success of Downton Abbey.
Dockery comes from a family of two older sisters: Joanne, an actress like herself, and Louise who worked as a teacher in Barcelona. She was engaged to John Dineen until his unfortunate passing due to a rare form of cancer in 2015.
In January 2022 it was announced that she got engaged to Jasper Waller-Bridge.
