About Michelle Buteau
Michelle Buteau, born on July 24, 1977 in New Jersey, is a well-known comedian and actress. She gained attention for her roles in several romantic comedy films released in 2019 including Isn’t It Romantic, Someone Great and Always Be My Maybe. Additionally, she landed a starring role in the television show First Wives Club and had a recurring part in Tales of the City.
Buteau started her comedy career shortly after September 11, 2001 and has since become known for her dynamic and engaging performances. In 2018, she began hosting the Late Night Whenever! podcast which received acclaim from Time Magazine as “one of the best podcasts of 2018 so far.”
She was raised by parents of Haitian and Jamaican descent. In 2010, she married photographer Gijs van der Most.
