Mia Wray is an Australian pop singer born on October 28, 1995, in Queensland, Australia. Known for her unique blend of bedroom pop with folk/acoustic and soul influences, she has gained recognition through her songs “Needs” and “Work for Me”.
Wray began her musical journey after her parents inherited a piano from her grandfather, which they placed in her bedroom. She taught herself to play the guitar by watching YouTube videos.
In 2012, Mia Wray won the Telstra Road to Discovery Program’s Peoples Choice Award. She has also toured with bands like The Rubens and The Teskey Brothers.
Currently based in Melbourne, Wray lives with her partner Drew Hammond.
