Mia Amber Davis (July 25, 1974 – May 10, 2011) was a plus-size model and actress best known for her role as Rhonda in the 2000 comedy film Road Trip. Born in New York City, she began her career working as a production assistant on television shows like “Def Comedy Jam” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” As a model, Davis appeared on the cover of magazines such as Belle and served as the Creative Editor-At-Large for Plus magazine.
Davis tragically passed away from complications of a pulmonary embolism following knee surgery to address an injury sustained while playing basketball. She was married to Mike Yard from 2008 until her untimely death.
