Meri Brown, born on January 16, 1971 in Alameda, California, is a reality star known for her role as the first wife of polygamist patriarch Kody Brown. Along with his three other wives Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, she stars on their popular TLC reality series Sister Wives.
Prior to her fame on the show, Meri married Kody in a legal wedding in 1990. In 2016, she was involved in a catfishing scandal after an online affair was exposed by Jackie Overton in her book Almost Meri’d.
Meri has one daughter named Mariah from her marriage to Kody. The couple legally divorced in 2014 so that he could adopt Robyn’s children.
