Mei Yu is a Canadian YouTube star known for her self-titled drawing channel. Born on November 7, 1988, she has gained popularity for her cartoon tutorials, doodles, art lessons and manga step-by-step videos. Mei Yu is also a self-published author of several how-to-draw cartoons and anime books.
Despite being a self-taught artist from a young age, Mei Yu did not attend any special art classes until high school and college. She graduated from high school with 17 art awards and scholarships. Additionally, she has taught cartooning classes in schools and libraries.
At the age of 19, Mei Yu began drawing for cartoon TV shows. Her YouTube channel was formerly known as Fun2Draw. In May 2018, she shared a video about strange childhood behaviors on her channel.
