About Maya Moore
Maya Moore is a professional basketball player born on June 11, 1989, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She gained fame as a star forward at the University of Connecticut, leading her team to back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2009 and 2010. Following her college career, she was selected first overall in the WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx in 2011 and played an instrumental role in securing two WNBA Championships for the team.
Prior to her professional career, Moore achieved success at Collins Hill High School in Georgia, where she led her team to a state championship and was honored as the 2007 Naismith Prep Player of the Year. In addition to her achievements in the WNBA, Moore has also had stints playing professionally for teams such as Ros Casares Valencia in Spain and China’s Shanxi Xing Rui Flame.
