About Maurizia Cacciatori
Maurizia Cacciatori is an Italian former volleyball player born on April 6, 1973, in Carrara, Italy. She had a successful career, participating in over 220 games for the Italian national team from 1998 to 2004. After retiring from club competition in 2007, she transitioned to a role as a commentator for Sky Sport.
Cacciatori’s volleyball journey began with Pallavolo Carrarese in 1986 before moving on to Sirio Perugia of Serie A1 in 1989. Her national team debut came in 1998.
She achieved notable accomplishments such as being named Best Setter of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in 1998 and appearing on Celebrity Survivor in Italy in 2006. Additionally, she has two children with Italian basketball player Francesco Orsini.
