Maureen Howard Feet

Maureen Howard, born on June 28, 1930 in Connecticut, is an American writer known for her work as an autobiographer. Her most notable piece is the 1978 autobiography “Facts of Life.” In addition to writing, she has also worked as an editor and lecturer.

Howard’s literary works include novels such as “Not a Word about Nightingales,” “Before My Time,” “Natural History,” and “A Lover’s Almanac.”

Prior to pursuing a career in writing, Howard graduated from Smith College and then worked in advertising for several years.

She has received numerous accolades for her work including a Guggenheim Fellowship and being named a Radcliffe Institute Fellow in the same year. Additionally, Howard married Professor Daniel F. Howard in 1954.
