Maura Tierney, born on February 3, 1965 in Massachusetts, is an American TV actress known for her roles as Lisa Miller on NewsRadio and Dr. Abby Lockhart on ER. In 2001, she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
She joined the cast of the Showtime series The Affair as Helen Solloway in 2014. Before her rise to fame, Tierney was involved with the Boston Globe Drama Festival while attending Notre Dame Academy.
